Standing Abdominal Exercises
Do you want Six Pack Abs? What exercises can be done to obtain Six Pack Abs? Actually there are many exercises that tighten stomach. There are sitting and standing abdominal exercises. Well, here’s an info on how to do standing ab exercises.
How to Do Ab Exercises Standing Up
Many people these days – men and Women alike – are interested in having a great set of abs, after all they look great don’t they?
They are not just there to look good, they actually have a function, which is to support your back. The vast majority of ab exercises are focussed on developing the muscles purely for cosmetic effect, but in reality the exercises are not too good when it comes to developing good back support.
The bad news is that abs are very difficult to develop, not only because it is difficult to target the abdominal muscles, but also because they are hiding behind an excess of body fat.
If you are working to a sensible weight loss program, you will need to take it to the max until all of the body fat is burnt from your mid torso area, regrettably no amount of exercise is going to have a visible effect until this part of the deal is complete.
To heap more hot coals on to your head, it is not possible to target specific body areas for fat burn, your body will burn off fat from wherever it wants to. Fat tends to melt away in reverse order to that which it was established, and for most of us that means that the waist area will be last to benefit, as it is usually the first area to store excess fat.
Nobody said this was going to be easy!
To the exercises; traditional exercises such as crunches certainly go some way to developing ab muscles, but the problem with all of them is that you have to curl up your body into an unnatural position, which means that when you want to keep your back straight as you walk, your abs will not help you, as they were not developed with your back straight in the first instance.
Exercises that develop the actual functionality of your ab muscles are very simple: when you walk or stand, focus on keeping your back straight , not arched. Study your posture in a long mirror so that you learn what it looks and feels like to stand straight.
Walking is the best exercise for your abs, with a weight strapped to your back. As you walk, try to walk tall and straight, cutting out any arching of the back. walking in this way exercises your ab muscles, and as they develop they will not only good, but they will have a useful function for your body too.
The key is to exercise on a frequent basis – try to walk for half an hour five days a week, and for those days when the weather is bad, get a treadmill, so that you can exercise and catch up with the latest Oprah show all at the same time!
